As the sun was setting last evening, the seeds pods still stuck on this tree
 were bathed in the glow of autumn.

Turning to the west, one glorious cloud reflected the bold hue of the
setting sun.  On the horizon, the mountains, usually so vivid against the skyline,
were banked by a wall of churning dark clouds.

This is a closer view of the ridge of clouds covering the
row of mountains.

It appears to be calm and still ... but the Chinook winds, so prevalent
in southern Alberta were blustering.

I am the Lord, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,
so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
men may know there is none besides me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other.
I form the light and create darkness.....

For this is what the Lord says----
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited---
he says:
I am the Lord,
and there is no other.
Isaiah 45: 5-7, 18
